Congratulations Stacy, Anthony, and Julianna!

I wanted to give you a shout-out with a headline, since you're the blog-master and you can't do it for yourself!

Jaime is absolutely beautiful, she has the most perfect, beautiful round little face. I love the age of technology we're in now. I wouldn't see that little face for a long time if it weren't for blogs and digital cameras!

I hope things are going well with your recovery, that was the hard part for me with both kids. Just relax, let your mom help (I know she is a huge help for you!), and know that things will be better in a week or so! You'll bounce back just fine, just enjoy that little girl, and her big sister, too!

Love to all of you xoxo

Introducing .....

Jaime Morgan Canzonieri

Thanks so much for all the well wishes! Jaime is doing fine. We are home now. The delivery was a piece of cake (after I got an epidural, that is)! We went in to the hospital at around 4 o'clock and she was born at 8:20 p.m. on March 18, 2007.

She weighed 7 lbs. 7 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long. She's a cutie! She looks just like her big sister.

Hopefully you will all get to see her soon. I will post more pictures as I take them! Thanks again and pray for a speedy recovery for mommy!

Love you all!

Bits and Pieces

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Okay so I'm a little late with the Irish love, but I've been trying to keep busy so that I don't go crazy thinking about when the heck I'm gonna go into labor.

Happy Birthday to Aunt Patty!

Oh and happy birthday to my wonderful brother-in-law Hicham tomorrow (Sunday)! In case you haven't heard, Amy and Hicham may be homeowners soon. They put a bid in on a house in Staten Island and it was accepted. They are getting an inspection tomorrow so as long as everything goes okay, they could be in by April. Whoopee!!!

So tomorrow is my official due date. If nothing happens then I am going to the doctor early Monday morning and will be admitted to the hospital Monday afternoon/evening. If all goes well, Julianna will finally get to meet her new sister sometime Monday night or Tuesday morning. I will try to keep you guys updated through the blog or at least through my mom. Wish me luck!

Love you all!

Shannon and Jeff in Argentina: An Update

Hi Everyone,

Jeff and I have been teaching English classes at the Grameen Foundation (a microfinance institution) in Mendzoa, Argentina. I've also been working on my music and Jeff continues to write for BussinessWeek part time. It's the end of summer/beginning of fall here and we are enjoying the weather. Wine country is treating us well but we definitely miss our family and can't wait for the summer to see everyone!

We're looking forward to the living on the east "coast" again when Jeff starts school at Cornell in the fall. We hope all is well and really miss everyone a lot. Can't wait to see the new babies when we get back. Love you guys.

Shannon and Jeff

**Thanks for the update Shan! We miss you guys. Take care and we'll see you in the summer.

Carly's Baptism

Hi there...after much trauma and drama, we finally had Carly baptized in the most beautiful, old church in an old steel mill part of Pittsburgh. The priest was fantastic and although it's an hour drive, we're thinking this will be the church we attend when we attend church...she wore Frank's grandmother's GREAT grandmother's dress (that would make her Frank's great, great, great, great grandmother, I think), we think it is 150 years old; what an heirloom...I put it on her right before the ceremony and took it off right after. I had forgotten how incredibly poignant and beautiful a baptism is, I'm very glad we finally got around to it! I'm going to try and attach some pictures now. Wish me luck!

Love to all,
Frank, Dawn, Zack (who suffered with a fever all weekend but was a trooper!), and Carly

New Addition to the Safris Family

Hello!

My name is Kookaburra Safris Nolan, and I am a celebrity. I must be anyway, because actual celebrities stop and fawn over ME. The other day my daddy had an appointment with Sir Ridley Scott, and he took me along. Sir Scott could hardly focus on the story idea he was telling my dad, he was soooo excited to pet me. He says Jack Russells make the best dogs he has two himself! The next day my mom and dad took me to something called an 'after party' at chateau marmont. It was late at night and people were acting very silly. Someone knocked a glass over and it shattered - my mom ran to me and picked me up so I wouldn't injure my precious paws - and as she picked me up we came face to face with Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20. He was acting VERY silly. There was also someone in a strange poufy pink dress at the table next to me whose name was Chloe Sevigny. Her dress looked like it would taste good, but I didn't get close enough to take a bite. At my table was Mark Ruffalo, who is cute, but not as cute as ME.

The next night my parents took me to dinner at Il Sole. Bright lights started popping all around me. I thought someone was taking MY picture (again) but it was just for someone named Halle Berry. Oh well. I am tired of all the pictures people take of me. The next day my mom and dad took me on a hike in Fryman Canyon. Three girls made a huge fuss over me. Their hair was much blonder than my moms and the mountains on their chests were MUCH larger than the ones my mom has. I think I heard my mom say they were someone named Hugh Hefner's girlfriends? She said they have a show on TV called, "The Girls Next Door" and on that show, they have puppies of their own. The blondest one told my mommy she has a chihuahua just my size.

I like dogs my size, but I like bigger dogs better, like my neighbor Mr. Guinness, who is a golden retriever. I've attached a picture of the two of us together. Notice how we're holding paws.

Last night we went to Il Sole (again). My parents are a little boring, actually. We had dinner with someone named Taye Diggs. Taye is ALMOST as cute as me, but not quite. Taye said he has a dog, a little Yorkie named Sammy Davis. Sammy Davis and I are supposed to have a play date today. I think I will like him, but probably not as much as Mr. Guinness.

Its really tiring being SO cute. Right now, I am taking a nap under the covers, curled up between mommy and daddy in the bed. Its my favorite place to be.

Woof Woof!

Julianna Ice Skating

Anthony and I took Julianna to her first ice skating lesson this weekend and I thought you guys might get a kick out of these pictures. She did so great! Of course, she kept falling on her tushy, but she got right back up and tried again. We were so proud of her.

First Day of March

Nothing really special about it, except that now I consider myself in the home stretch. It's almost baby time and I couldn't be more anxious. Part of me wants her here now, but the panic is starting to set in. I know it's going to be difficult and I just hope I don't crack under the pressure. Any advice for me? What worked for you in the beginning?
